40th Reunion

Dear Classmates,

It is hard to believe that it’s once again time for another reunion for the class of 1972.  It seems like yesterday, all of us were graduating and looking forward to conquering the world.  Then reality hits me and I look around to see my kids as grown adults with kids of their own.  Then it occurs to me; it’s already been 40 years since we received our caps and gowns.  Where did the time go?

A few months ago our Reunion Committee began making plans for another fun-filled weekend to celebrate our 40 year history.  We had great response from classmates wanting to help plan this reunion.  Hopefully, this will allow us to offer activities that will appeal to all classmates and their guests who plan to attend one or all of the weekend events.

The committee decided to hold our Saturday night event at a venue that would allow classmates an opportunity to continue visiting after midnight.  So back by popular demand we chose The Argosy Casino and Hotel.  If you wish to have a room available after the event, we have obtained a block of rooms at a greatly discounted rate.  If the Argosy Hotel is not your choice, you may stay at one of the other surrounding hotels. 

The Friday events have been well attended in the past so we are again, offering our Class of ‘72 Golf Outing and Pasture Party.  They have both been a lot of fun for all and provided some great memories.  Sponsorships are available for $100.00.  This buys you advertising on a hole at the golf outing and advertising space in both the Memory Book and on our class website.  If you are interested please visit the website for more details.

I have been fortunate to attend every class reunion since our graduation and my wife Anne has attended our last four reunions.  Each one of them has been memorable.  It is always a great time to reminisce and reconnect with old friends and classmates.  If this will be your first reunion or if you have attended many of them, we know you will be glad you attended this reunion weekend.  We are fortunate that our class has remained close throughout the years.  We share a common thread that unites us as part of the Lee’s Summit High School Class of 1972.

To help us continue to plan and meet expenses, we encourage you to return your reservation and payment as soon as possible.  Also don’t forget to complete and return the Demographic Information sheet for the Memory Book.  It takes time for the Memory Book committee to compile all the information, so your quick response is essential.  If we don’t receive your completed form we may have to just make up something for you!!

All reservations and Demographic Information must be received by May 1, 2012.
